Reusable Glass Drinking Straw

Borosilicate glass straws are made from the same glass type used in laboratory equipment and high-quality bakeware: a glass formulation that contains boron trioxide, which gives it excellent thermal stability and chemical resistance. In straw form, borosilicate glass is completely inert — it does not leach any compounds into beverages regardless of acidity, temperature, or contact duration. There is no taste transfer, no off-gassing, and no degradation over time.

Compared to plastic straws, glass straws eliminate exposure to plastic polymer residues, dyes, and potential plasticizers that can migrate into beverages. Compared to stainless steel straws, glass straws allow you to see the inside of the straw clearly to verify it is clean. Compared to bamboo or paper straws, glass lasts indefinitely with proper care and does not affect the taste of beverages.

The one genuine limitation is fragility. Borosilicate glass is harder and more crack-resistant than standard glass, but it will break if dropped on a hard surface or bitten down on with force. For children under 8 or for environments with frequent drops, stainless steel straws are a safer everyday option. For adults at a desk or kitchen table, glass straws are perfectly practical.

Care is straightforward: rinse after use, and wash with the included cleaning brush to clear residue from smoothies or juices. Most borosilicate glass straws are dishwasher safe in the top rack. Store them in a protective pouch to avoid impact. A well-maintained glass straw will last for years with no degradation.
